Danielle O’Malley is a traveling muralist and interdisciplinary artist. Inspired by folklore, 90's cartoons, decay, femininity, and the supernatural, her work weaves sugarcoated cutesy kitsch with the odd and macabre to create a world that is equally inviting and perturbed. By combining cultural childhood nostalgias with adult humor & existential woes, she taps into a dreamlike collective conscious to help people navigate complex emotions surrounding issues such as life, death, spirituality, sexuality, gender, our shared humanity and our connection to our planet.

Since graduating from the California College of Arts in 2010, she’s painted murals and participated in exhibitions internationally. She utilizes printmaking, painting, collage and found objects to create shadowboxes, life size playhouses, zines and street art. She also runs an arts & craft business, called Filth Cakes, out of her home, where she sells prints, patches and screen printed hand sewn dolls.
